About The Event
What does it actually take to run an Oscars campaign? Two WIP members who've done it firsthand will share their experience. Martine Melloul campaigned last year for the Oscar-nominated animated short Butterfly, and Christine La Monte led campaigns for two documentary features, Viva Verdi! (Oscar-nominated for Best Original Song) and Ai WeiWei's Turandot.
In this conversation with Rachel Stander, Martine and Christine will walk through the full journey: qualifying your film, building your campaign, and positioning yourself as a real contender across different categories and formats. They'll be joined by Luigi Loy of Sacrebleu Productions, who collaborated with Martine on the Butterfly campaign.
